One from the vaults
We'd been warned not to be too adventurous because of the floods which meant that Mountain Rescue were tied up - so we just did the top of High Pike. Started off cold, remained cold, and at the top we had a snowlike covering of ice over the peak. Then as we descended the sun had the quality of a late summers day. Then it was back to the outdoor centre for a real fire, and an amazing dinner.
