Conditions were so bad i had to use my survival bag - to go sliding down a few of the paths :D. Nice cold, crisp day with snow and ice underfoot. The walk from Monsal Head to the Red Lion took us 45 minutes longer than planned due to conditions. Had an amazing meal at the Red Lion at Litton (review on Qype) and then walked back to Monsal Head (taking the last bit by road) Some amazing scenery, enhanced by the weather. Would love to do this walk again in the Summer just to see the contrast.
